Sarah and Amelia Day 3
Hi everyone!! This morning we had morning devotional, quiet time, worship, and learned deeper about what it means to have faith in God. Each of us had our first full day at our individual sites and ended the night reflecting as a team.

Today was my first full day at the women's social work site. Their goal is to try to reach women who've grown up in poverty by teaching them about their identity and worth in Christ. It was so exciting meeting all the preteens. There were about 12 of them, ages 7-12. We helped the girls create new art projects as well as teaching them the cupids shuffle dance. The young girls and leaders are so fun to be around and it is such a blessing to be able to talk to them about Christ. I can't wait to see how God works in my life throughout the next week!

This morning I spent time praying to God for our first day in physical therapy. I was nervous because the summer intern, Maddy, who is working along side us said that the nursing home can be frustrated and people might not cooperate with us. But I really enjoyed my time being with each individual at the nursing home and hearing some of the things they had to say. We also spent some time in the clinic and met some patients. But when we had down time, we all got to know each other and Silvio, the leader of the physical therapy sites. I had a really cool and immediate connection to Maddy because I was able to be vulnerable with her and I was nervous for this trip to begin with. I feel like God had her work with me to show me that there is a reason for me being on this trip, and I can't wait to discover more of that.
